Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems including telecommunications, surveillance, and security systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of system design and be able to work effectively with various tools and technologies in a dynamic environment. Duties Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems such as CCTV, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and telecommunication networks. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of systems. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to design effective low voltage solutions tailored to client needs. Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all installations and repairs. Utilize power tools and mechanical knowledge to complete installations efficiently. Provide technical support for computer networking issues related to low voltage systems. Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Experience Proven experience in low voltage system installation or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with system design principles, telecommunication technologies, IDS, CCTV, and computer networking is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
