Your Primary Responsibilities will include
Truck Operator for truck and/or trailer mounted air-vacuum excavation systems Operate vacuum excavation equipment, concrete saw, pneumatic pavement breaker, pneumatic tamp/compactor, and other related tools or “hand dig” in order to verify the characteristics of buried utility pipes, cables, and ducts
Perform accurate measurements with precision using various methods including laser calipers, cloth and steel tapes, EDM’s, etc. Provide underground utility flagging “designation” utilizing ground-penetrating radar, electromagnetic induction equipment, and other geophysical methods
Designate all utility line types of conductive or non-conductive materials including water, sewer, gas, electric, fiber optic, PVC, and all other underground facilities that would affect excavation of a site
Assist with maintenance of vehicle/trucks, equipment, and work sites
Exercise extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all applicable job site safety parameters
Perform basic survey data collection for utility designations and locations What you’ll need
High School Diploma or equivalent/GED preferred
Basic computer skills and capacity to learn and understand new software
Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required. Commercial Driver License (CDL) credentials a plus
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed Experience in performing geophysical designating techniques is a plus but not necessary for entry-level
Experience in utility construction or related field is a plus but not necessary for entry-level DRMP Offers
