We are looking for that individual that can work independently or as part of a team to achieve the successful goal of 100% equipment reliability. As part of the team, you will be providing technical services support in the troubleshooting, installation, integration, maintenance, repair, modification, evaluation, testing, and training of C4I systems employed by Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH). We support for a wide variety of equipment from audio visual (AV), to radio systems, and video telepresence. Less than 5% travel may be required to various U.S. locations. Travel may also be required to OCONUS locations including arduous duty areas and locations designated as Hazardous Duty by the U.S. State Department. The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $28.85/hr. The work site location is an onsite government facility located on Homestead ARB, Homestead, FL. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state a willingness to relocate self to the Homestead, FL area. Required Education, Experience, & Skills High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of recent specialized experience U.S. Military Communications-Electronics (C4I) formal training and experience Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills U.S. Special Operations Force (SOF) communications experience/training Network training/experience with RoIP / VoIP / VTC / AV Advanced electronics formal training Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Fiber Optic Experience Radio Integration System (RIS/RIS Lite) Training/Experience SATCOM, LOS, and HF communications operation and maintenance experience VSAT communications operation and maintenance experience Pay Information This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
