Field Operations Technician 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Florida Summary Field Technicians report directly to the Field Operations Supervisor. This intermediate-level position requires strong technical and computer skills, effective troubleshooting abilities, solid documentation and communication capabilities, a working knowledge of construction practices, and the professionalism and motivation to represent Watchfire effectively in the field. Field Operations Technicians are responsible for the safe and professional installation, troubleshooting, repair, and field calibration of Watchfire products. They are also expected to arrive at each jobsite fully prepared—with the necessary knowledge, tools, and technical details required to successfully complete assigned tasks. This role requires flexibility to travel throughout the assigned territory and to other regions as necessary to meet business demands. Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Jacksonville, FL greater metro area. Responsibilities Coordinate with the Field Operations Supervisor and project management to be aware of assigned projects or cases. Communicate with project managers to understand assigned project/case objectives, scope of required work, and schedules. Communicate with project/case contact(s) ahead of travel dates to verify objectives, timeframes, and jobsite details. Be familiar or become familiar with Watchfire products to include types/capabilities of each model, internal components and operations of each model, and accessories and options available for each type and model. Be familiar with or become familiar with all Watchfire product operating software. To include Ignite OP, OA OPX, and Sports. Be familiar with or become familiar with Watchfire audio systems, VMix software and camera setup and operation. Provide consultation and instruction on watchfire best practices during installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and/or calibration work on the job site. Communicate with customers or representatives to relate jobsite specifics and verify installations are successfully completed. Provide initial training to customers on Watchfire software and product operation. Communicate with internal teams and subject matter experts to determine the best means and methods to achieve project objectives, deadlines, and budgets. Must be comfortable working at elevated heights, including on lift equipment and billboard structures, while adhering to all safety protocols and using proper fall protection measures. Manage and organize expense reports for travel, jobsite, equipment, etc. Interpret product and project drawings, technical details, and specifications. Regularly attend training on subjects important to Watchfire and stay informed of industry practices and standards. Assist the project management team with documenting procedures on field operation methods and analyzing such methods for improvements in safety, efficiency, and quality of work. Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, & crouch in and around tightly configured spaces on jobsites. Must consistently lift and carry 10 pounds and lift and/or move 50 pounds. Travel for jobsite visits will be required. Work hours may extend beyond standard weekday daytime shifts. Travel requirements and project deadlines may occasionally necessitate evening, weekend, or extended hours.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

This person will be experienced in OSHA regulations 1910 and 1926, lifting and rigging with cranes, aerial work platforms, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and air travel requirements (North America). Proficient in reading/writing/typing in English. Comprehend written, visual, and verbal instructions. Experience presenting information in small group situations. Excellent reasoning skills related to cause and effect. Excellent ability to identify critical troubleshooting details to minimize repair times. Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and contractors in a professional and effective manner. Exceptional teamwork, communication, time management, data processing, multi-tasking skills, with an understanding of urgency and critical issues is required. Completion of 10hr in OSHA 1910 and/or 1926 within 3 months of hire date. (2) written work-related recommendations from previous/current employers, or instructors, or co-workers Required Education and Licensing Minimum 1 year of similar work experience with an Associates of Science in a technology or related field; or a Bachelor of Science in a technology or related field; or minimum 3 years of similar work experience; or a Journeyman’s card in a Building/Construction Trade. Strong experience with computers, internet, smart phone/tablet, and the Microsoft software office suite. (Word, Excel, Outlook). Valid State Driver’s License and U.S. Passport.
