Viasat Satellite Technician East to West Communications, LLC Calhoun, GA Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Satellite Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various technical skills related to satellite installation and maintenance. This role involves working with telecommunications equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and providing excellent service to our clients. Duties Install, maintain, and troubleshoot satellite systems and related equipment. Conduct network installations and ensure proper configuration of Cisco routers. Perform fiber splicing and low voltage wiring tasks as needed. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to test electrical connections and ensure system integrity. Provide telecommunication services, including troubleshooting telephone systems. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and customer interactions. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in installation and maintenance. Proficient in computer networking concepts and practices. Experience with low voltage systems and fiber splicing techniques. Familiarity with Cisco routers and network installation procedures. Ability to use diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter for troubleshooting purposes. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical issues promptly.
