ISP Supervisor 2.2 2.2 out of 5 stars 6920 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Norcross, GA 30071 Inside Pla nt (ISP) Supervisor Job Description The ISP Construction Supervisor will perform critical tasks that ensure quality installation and maintenance of the fiber network. This position reports to the ISP Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruits and trains new staff Oversees the daily workflow of the department Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations Provides Management direction and counseling Oversees Time and Attendance duties, e.g., approving timecards Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct site surveys for constructability and RF Design considerations Prepare or oversee the preparation of installation and final as-built drawing packages Manage the project materials procurement Monitor installation subcontractor performance in accordance with: SoW, Schedule, Budget, and Quality Prepare and submit status reports to customer and management QA/ QC subcontractors as well as in-house crews on MxU, Greenfields and retro builds. Support field and network engineers during testing phase as required Oversee Field Technicians’ performance Handle distribution of work assignments, develop project completion dates, review and redline work prints Client support and development including completion of job status tracking reports, and client meetings Assist ISP Manager and Project Manager with coordination and execution of surveys, design reviews, and close-out packages Prepare and update network documentation based on changes in network topology Manage Vendor performance for inside plant Train and develop new and existing field technicians Responsible for fiber fusion splicing on job sites when needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and

Basic knowledge of fiber optic theory which includes fiber loss, connector types, and the different types of fibers Full knowledge of operating fiber optic splicing equipment-Preferred Proficient in Fiber fusion splicing- Preferred Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans, document daily records and reports Demonstrated ability to use and care for fiber optic test equipment, ruby light, and power meter Ability to manage remote teams to complete designated amount of work in a specified time frame (e. g. , quality jobs per day), adjusting work assignments or schedules to meet changing work-related priorities or demands. EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience Valid Driver’s license with satisfactory driving record 1-3 years of operations management experience installing and maintaining fiber optic products and services 1+ years supervisory experience of small, remote, field based teams Certified Fiber Optic Technician certification preferred Certified as a BICSI Technician or similar certification preferred Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies, cabling standards and components
