This role is essential in ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. As a Fiber Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality telecommunication services to our clients.

Requirements:
Experience installing fiber cable or background in Low voltage Own a truck or van (must pass background check & drug test to start immediately ) We have trucks that you can rent, but inventory is limited. Responsibilities Install and maintain fiber optic cables and associated equipment for MetroNet. Perform fiber splicing and ensure optimal connectivity. Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters and voltmeters for troubleshooting. Conduct network installations while adhering to safety standards and protocols. Provide field service support to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion. Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs. Additional Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fiber optic technology. Familiarity with network installation processes, particularly in low-voltage applications. Experience with fiber splicing techniques is highly desirable. Proficiency in using testing tools such as ohmmeters and voltmeters. Ability to work effectively with hand tools and other equipment necessary for installation and maintenance tasks. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field as a service technician. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
