We are a nationwide installation company that specializes in fleet-vehicle electronics such as cameras, telematics, and tracking devices. We partner with leading industry providers and manage projects ranging from 10 to 10,000 installations. With growing demand, we’re expanding our leadership team and looking for a strong field leader based in New Jersey. As our Telematics Installation Specialist , you’ll lead high-volume installation projects, provide technical support to our 1099 installer network, and serve as the primary point of contact for contractor coordination in the field. You’ll work closely with internal teams and directly on vehicles as needed, leading by example and maintaining quality, consistency, and safety on every job.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Project Oversight Act as the main point of contact for 1099 installers in NJ and the surrounding region Lead project kick-offs, communicate project guidelines, and provide field-based support to contractor teams Monitor progress, audit quality, and coordinate daily with senior leadership to flag delays or issues Participate in final decision-making for new 1099 contractors Assist with recruiting and onboarding of other W-2 Installation Specialists as needed Respond to escalations and ensure resolution of complex on-site issues Handle warranty/damage case reviews and support decisions on claims Authorize installation timelines and resource planning based on sales forecasts Review and update installation procedures and guides Technical & Field Support Install aftermarket vehicle technology including

CCTV, DVR/DVS

systems, telematics, trackers, and associated cabling/mounting hardware Travel regularly (50% of the time) to support large installations, resolve field issues, and maintain project quality Troubleshoot and service telematics and vehicle security systems Commission equipment to ensure proper functionality Ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols • Collaboration & Communication Work closely with the Field Service Manager and the Product Intergration Manager to support daily operational flow Handle on-site customer queries professionally and efficiently Provide day-to-day support to 1099 contractors in the field

Requirements:

2 years or more of experience in field service, project management, or installation leadership Solid understanding of fleet vehicle electronics, including Verizon Connect, Geotab, Lytx, Smart Witness, DVR systems, telematics, and 12v devices Experience supporting or managing independent contractors (1099s) Strong leadership and communication skills MECP certification preferred but not required Willingness and availability to travel frequently and on short notice Valid driver’s license Ability to use hand tools and climb ladders.
