Professional Development Position Summary:

If you love working outdoors, have a knack for technology, have physical agility, and value autonomy, then you are who we are looking for! Join us as a Field Technician and play a pivotal role in collecting vital data on infrastructures and utilities. Training will be provided for qualified applicants. The Field Technician will perform duties throughout the City and County to gather data vital for the engineering and design of systems. The job encompasses measurements of attachment heights, span lengths, angles, and more. No out-of-town travel is required.

Essential functions:

Collect outdoor and underground field data crucial for the engineering and design of systems. Organize and present detailed data for each project including maps, notes, and digital photos. Operate and look after essential equipment like tablet computers, digital cameras, measuring tools, and Personal Protective Equipment. Represent Allworld and its clients professionally both in the field and in office settings. Maintain consistent communication with the project management team. Uphold safety standards and work autonomously. Must Complete 60 hours of professional development training. Assist with and identify process improvements. Maintain professional relationships with associates and clients. Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; a technical background is a plus.

Skills:

Good communication skills, both written and spoken. Computer proficiency. Reading and adhering to GPS maps. Strong adherence to high-quality processes and guidelines. High standard of work and a focus on quality. Adherence to the company’s core values.

Technology Demands :

It is not a prerequisite to be proficient in any of the following, but the Field Technician must be prepared to engage with the following technologies: Microsoft Office Suite, ESRI ArcGIS products including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online, AutoCAD Civil3D, and handheld GPS devices.

Typical Physical Demands:

Fieldwork will require the ability to work outdoors and underground in differing weather conditions and terrains, with the capability to handle physical demands including lifting 15-20 lbs. routinely. Clear vision at varied distances and lighting conditions. Requires the ability to be able to walk long distances while carrying equipment. Field Technician may be exposed to traffic hazards, dangerous animals, insects, poisonous plants, and weeds.
