The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of marine equipment and systems. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Marine Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of marine vessels. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in marine equipment. Perform repairs on engines, electrical systems, and other critical components. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, calipers, and welding equipment to complete repairs. Assemble and disassemble various marine systems as needed. Conduct routine maintenance checks on vessels to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with service technicians to provide exceptional customer service. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vessel. Testing and repairing boat engines, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and navigational equipment. Evaluating and installing refrigeration and sanitation systems, and steering gear. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within the marine industry is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Proficient in using tools. Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing and sheet metal work is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
