The ideal Candidate will have the following skill set: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation or equivalent. 5 years of experience in programming

PLC, SCADA.

Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens or Wago. Critical thinker, proactive, resourceful and hard worker. Ability to work as part of a team and interact with other trades Ability to travel domestically or international making up to approx. 25% of time. The Automation Engineer/Technician will design, install, integrate, commission and service large-scale marine alarm, monitoring & control systems (AMCS), Power Management Systems (PMS), Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems and varying Automation systems projects for new construction and refit of large yachts. The successful candidate will perform; AMCS, PMS and Security systems calibration, measurements, and tests. Analyze and troubleshoot marine vessel requirements and wiring diagrams Draft technical and functional specifications for various (sub) systems and software development Draft technical systems design and translate design into usable hardware and software configurations and select components, tools, and materials to be used; Select parameters for and configure variable frequency drives Build components and test switches and assure compliance with safety protocol Log operational abnormalities and perform visual and technical tests Write and execute test programs for FAT, HAT, and SAT and verify whether quality is conformant to specifications. The successful candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Automation, and at least 60 months of experience in Marine Automation Technician, AMCS, Marine Engineer/ETO, Commissioning Engineer, or similarly-related occupation involving the design, installation, commissioning and servicing of large scale AMCS projects for new construction and refit. The Automation Engineer/Technician will have the following responsibilities: Developing, implementing and supporting ships control and monitoring hardware. Troubleshooting of control system hardware and software. Configuration and programming of PLC, Frequency Drives, SCADA Control systems. Support and check engineering. Commissioning and troubleshooting of proprietary ships automation systems.
