Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Technician who can diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of marine engines, electrical systems, and onboard systems. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be safety-conscious, and deliver top-tier workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair inboard, outboard, and sterndrive engines (gas & diesel)
- Perform scheduled maintenance and vessel inspections
- Install and repair electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems
- Conduct diagnostics using computer-based tools and software
- Perform sea trials and assist with haul-outs or launches when needed
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings to service writers
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Marine Technician (Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta, or similar certification preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Must have own tools and valid driver’s license
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- ABYC or manufacturer certifications a plus but not required
