Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of marine diesel engines and mechanical equipment onboard our vessels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine diesel engines, their components and their functions. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical and fluid systems. Responsibilities Inspect and troubleshoot marine diesel engines and equipment to diagnose issues Carry out regular maintenance and servicing of the vessels’ engines and mechanical systems Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and systems Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repair work Ensure that all work complies with safety standards and regulations Follow company, industry, and best practices regarding safety standards, including safe equipment usage, personal protective equipment, and reporting. Benefits Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 – $62400.00/yr.
Benefits:
The Company provides medical, vision, and dental insurance upon hire. After three months of employment, you will be eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) saving plan, which includes a 100% company match on the first 3% employee deferral and an additional 50% on the next 2% employee deferral up to 5%. So, if you defer 5%, the Company will match 4% towards saving for your retirement. A comprehensive summary of the benefits programs will be given to you during your orientation.
Time Off:
Full-time employees are eligible to take 104 hours of Personal Time Off (“PTO”) for each full calendar year. PTO hours are prorated for partial years. You are eligible to take PTO after 90 days of employment. PTO does not carry over from year to year.
Holidays:
Full-time employees receive the following paid holidays after completing 90 days of employment: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
