The technician will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, repair, and certification of liferafts in compliance with manufacturer and US Coast Guard standards and regulations. This role requires mechanical aptitude, the utmost attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced marine safety environment. Prior experience in liferaft servicing is a plus, but not required. We can train and certify you. Responsibilities Inspect, test, and service liferafts according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines. Perform inflation tests, leak checks, and component replacements as needed. Ensure all safety and quality control measures are followed during servicing. Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and certifications. Work closely with customers to provide detailed service reports and recommendations. Stay up to date with safety regulations and compliance requirements from SOLAS, USCG, and other maritime authorities. Assist with inventory management and ensure proper storage of liferafts and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols. Skills Prior experience in liferaft servicing is a plus, but not required. We can train and certify you. Mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and regulatory guidelines. Attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety procedures. Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
