The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair various marine equipment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills, as you will be interacting with clients to ensure their marine vessels are operating at peak performance. About Us EGA Marine is a fast-growing, mobile service-first marine maintenance company serving South Florida’s top marinas and boat owners. We specialize in high-quality repairs, maintenance packages, and tech support for a wide range of marine systems. We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Marine Technician to join our expanding team. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems on marine vessels. Utilize precision measuring instruments to assess equipment performance and make necessary adjustments. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on boats, engines, and related systems. Assist customers with inquiries regarding repairs, maintenance, and equipment usage as required. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services provided. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Handle heavy lifting as required during repairs and installations. Utilize an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues. Provide sales support by recommending parts and services that meet customer needs. Skills Strong understanding of marine mechanics and electrical systems. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for diagnostics. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Military experience is beneficial but not required; however, a disciplined approach to work is valued. Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is preferred. Experience with Mercury and Yamaha Engines is preferred. Experience with electronical components on 20′ – 35′ boats is preferred.
