Golf Cart Technician – Golf Shop (Full-Time) Position Available In Glynn, Georgia
Tallo's Job Summary: The Golf Cart Technician in the Golf Shop is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the Golf Cart Fleet, communicating with management regarding expenditures, and organizing rental club inventory. This role requires golf knowledge, mechanical repair experience, and proficiency in hand tools and software applications. The technician must be able to work in various outdoor conditions, lift up to 50 lbs., and work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
Job Description
You will help ensure the Golf Cart Fleet is properly rotated and charged on a nightly basis. You will communicate with the Outside Service Manager and Head Golf Professionals regarding expenditures. You will help maintain the Sea Island rental club inventory, keeping sets organized in their assigned bags daily and ready for special events as well as daily use. You will help the Outside Service Attendants organize bags for daily play and special events, including maintaining an organized bag room for quick bag retrieval and storage. You will learn how to consistently uphold and ensure compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, appearance. You follow and ensure all Sea Island safety protocols are consistently met. You maintain situational awareness of your surroundings, keeping an eye on all areas for tidiness and any general maintenance issues, ensuring that all are corrected or reported immediately. You are generous with your support and help resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way, following up as needed. You are proactive in aiding when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested. You are willing and can timely execute other duties as delegated by leadership.
Job Requirements:
Golf knowledge preferred Experienced in mechanical repairs Proficient with power hand tools and manual hand tools Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods Must have the ability to work in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain and higher than normal noise levels Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards Timeliness and flexibility – you agree to work a flexible schedule.
