We service all makes and models and specialize in towboats primarily. We are seeking highly skilled Marine Technicians to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine vessels and their related systems. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical knowledge and experience in the marine industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, audio systems , ballast systems and hulls.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and precision measuring instruments
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems or areas of improvement on including used and consignment vessels
- Install and rig new equipment or components as needed
- Collaborate with customers and team members to understand their needs and provide exceptional service at all costs.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed as well as adhere to company policies and procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Marine Technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of marine systems
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and reading schematics
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems in marine vessels
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Experience with fiberglass repairs is a plus
- PCM, Indmar, Ilmor and Mercury certifications are a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
