We have a full-service department which supports a fleet of center console and dual console boats across multiple marinas in the Charleston, SC area. We pride ourselves on delivering top-tier service to our boat club members and private boat owners. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Marine Service Technician to join our dedicated team. Job Summary The Marine Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of outboard engines,marine electrical systems, steering systems, and other onboard components. This role requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on outboard engines Troubleshoot and repair electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems Conduct 31-point inspections and complete annual service packages Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used Communicate with service coordinators and marina staff regarding service timelines Assist with haul-outs, and launching when needed Follow all safety and environmental protocols Qualifications Experience in marine service or similar mechanical field Strong knowledge of outboards and marine systems Ability to use diagnostic tools and follow service manuals Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor marine environments Valid driver’s license; boating experience a plus Yamaha certification or similar credentials preferred (not required) What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Health insurance and benefits package 401K plan Opportunities for career advancement Team-oriented and professional working environment
