Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing inboard and outboard engines , with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline and diesel-powered inboard and outboard marine engines . Perform routine maintenance and seasonal servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups. Utilize precision measuring instruments to diagnose issues. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, fuel systems, steering, and cooling systems. Conduct sea trials and operational tests as needed. Maintain detailed records of all work performed. Communicate effectively with sales team and customers regarding diagnostics, repair timelines, and maintenance recommendations. Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with inboard and outboard marine engines (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda, Volvo Penta, MerCruiser, etc.). Certifications from manufacturers (e.g., Yamaha, Mercury, ABYC) are preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret service manuals and wiring diagrams. Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. A willingness to learn new technologies and techniques related to marine service. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
