As a member of the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort team, you will meet and engage with guests who have arrived to enjoy all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer and help them experience our world-class amenities such as the state-of-the-art Wild Bear Falls water park. Job Description Responsible for keeping all golf carts in a safe and efficient working condition by performing the following duties. As Golf Cart Mechanic, you will: Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to locate cause of trouble
Raise vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
Remove unit such as engine, transmission, or differential
Examine form and textures of parts to detect imperfection and dimensional requirements
Disassemble unit and inspect parts for wear
Repair or replace parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings
Rewire ignition system, lights, and instrument panel
Install special functional and structural parts and devices
Replace and adjust headlights, and install and repair accessories such as mirrors and tires
Lubricate and clean parts
Start devices to test performance
Keep daily log to track repairs
Set up and operate drill press, grinder, torches, welder and other metal working tools
Keep a preventive maintenance program on golf carts To excel in this role, you must embody our core values of integrity, passion, and a strong work ethic. Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license to drive company golf carts
