Full Job Description Mobile Wheel Repair Technician Tampa Bay Area, FL Full-time Job Summary:
The Mobile Wheel Repair Technician will work on site at customer locations, fixing cosmetic damages to wheels using airbrush-painting equipment, power tools and additional supplies. The process involves working on wheels while still on the vehicles. Tasks include painting surfaces, inspecting wheels, prepping and buffing defects, mixing colors and finishing.
Essential Job Duties:
Assist service managers and estimators in providing documentation for any mechanical or electronic repairs services needed. Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents. Perform bumper to bumper mechanical and electrical repairs. Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through the use of our company Core Values and Brand Promise. Assumes other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
High school diploma. Automotive repair experience preferred, but not required. Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Must qualify for business insurance programs, including vehicle insurance. Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient use of a variety of automotive equipment and power tools. Possess and display a strong and healthy work ethic. Must have strong time management skills and be detail-oriented.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
The employee must occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. Work in an environment outdoors, around loud noises, and requires walking. Requires squatting for relatively long periods of time, while repairing wheels. The employee will be exposed to cold and hot weather.
Compensation/Benefits:
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications and experience. Compensation while training is expected to be: $160/day Upon completing training, compensation will be commission based starting at 35% invoiced work.
