Job Description

Alignment Technician

  • B Tech
PALM CITY AUTO REPAIR AND COLLISION CENTER 3438 SW

Deggeller Court, Palm City, FL 34990 The ideal candidate will perform alignments, routine vehicle maintenance , such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tires . Also, must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail, and provide quality in all work performed. Knowledge of Shop Monkey is a plus.

  • Job Responsibilities
  • -Aligning wheels, axles, frames, and steering mechanisms of vehicles.
  • Testing vehicles for faulty wheel alignment, bent axle, worn ball joints, and bent steering rods.
  • Adjusting shims, tie rods, and joining pins to align wheels or installing new parts.
  • Ensuring optimal vehicle performance by adjusting wheel alignment, diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing necessary repairs.
  • Inspecting and adjusting front-end alignment, suspension systems, and tire wear patterns to improve vehicle handling and prolong tire life.
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance as outlined on repair orders
  • Complete oil changes and filter replacements
  • Complete tire services, including mounting, balancing, rotating and repairing tires
  • Perform multi point inspections and examine all vehicle systems.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Must also accurately document work performed on each vehicle and communicate with the service writer to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts.
  • Must be willing to adapt to new technologies and techniques.

High School Diploma or GED. Previous alignment, tire and lube experience. At least 1-2 years. Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift at least 50 lbs. General mechanical skills, manual dexterity and ability to operate power and hand tools, and other types of machinery. Own a basic set of automotive tools or participate in a tool purchase program. Ability to operate a forklift and vehicles. (Including manual transmissions.) Valid in-state driver’s license. Effective time management skills. Strong communication skills. Excellent customer service skills.
