The primary function of the Hybrid Technician is to be able to perform automotive services on both the Core side and the multi-care side of the Jiffy Lube. This position will require you to be fully trained in first the Core side technician roles which include the following: Upper Bay/Lower Bay and the Inspection Tech role. Once you’ve become proficient in these roles and CBTs are completed, Hybrid Technician training begins. As a Hybrid tech you will be responsible for vehicle inspections, identifying work that needs to be done on customer vehicles, lastly completion of multi-care work that needs to be performed which include the following: Light engine tune-ups, Brake Jobs, Tire repair or Tire replacements. There are also CBTs (Computer Based training) requirements for this position as well: Brake Fluid Exchange, A5 Brakes, Spark Plugs and Tires (If working in a tire location). Once this has been completed your promotion to our “Hybrid Technician” position will be processed. Properly operating lift equipment (i.e. jacks, stands, and hoist). Replacement and installation of brake hardware, rotors, calipers, brake hoses. Cleaning and adjusting drum brakes and parking brakes. Exchange of old contaminated brake fluid with new fluid and removal of air brake lines. Light drive train repair. Wheel bearing service. Spark Plug Replacement Tire Services (Wheel balance, Mounting, Flat Repairs)

What do we require of you?

The must haves:

Valid Driver’s License. Age 18 or older. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees. Can complete the required computer-based training (CBT) modules. Attendance is an essential function of employment, and you must be timely and ready to work your scheduled shifts.

The physical requirements:

This position will require the employee to regularly service cars. Thus, while performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: Stand and walk. Use hands and fingers to feel, reach with hands and arms. Able to lift objects up to 25 pounds and transfer from one height to another. Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
