Safran Landing Systems Wheel & Brake Services is a licensed FAA repair facility providing rapid-response aircraft wheel and brake repairs with facilities in Milwaukee, WI, Miami, FL, Bethlehem, PA, Grand Prairie, TX, and Las Vegas, NV. Summary This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently dismounting the tire from the wheel along with cleaning and blasting of wheel and wheel hardware. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assembles wheels to component maintenance manual requirements and customer requirements.
  • Verifies records and documentation of product
  • Uses computer hardware and software to maintain product flow
  • Mount the tire to the wheel assembly using manual specified torque requirements
  • Balancing of the aircraft wheel and tire assembly
  • Ensures that products processed at assembly are completed and flowed to final inspector for airworthiness inspection.
  • Prepares documentation once task is complete
  • Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively interact with all levels of staff from different departments effectively.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills that promote and foster a team culture.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills in order to prioritize workload according to business demands.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • General computer knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail required. Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in production and manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Demands DOT/FAA regulations require all applicants for placement in DOT/FAA safety-sensitive positions will be required submit to a pre-employment drug test as well as random testing annually. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
