$37.5K – $56K a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Mid-level Construction site Construction Full Job Description We are looking for a Civil Field Tech I or II in the Jacksonville, FL area. The ideal candidate possesses general working knowledge of equipment and safety procedures required in the construction, repair and maintenance of towers and accompanying structures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Obtain and sustain required certifications and training requirements Assist with site preparation and completion Utilize PPE in compliance with EHS requirements and industry standards Perform work in a safe manner and comply with all established company safety policies and procedures Perform routine construction related activities such as pulling a rope, climbing ladders, using common hand tools, manual digging with a shovel, cable handling, and general clean up Able to perform the duties of clearing and grading, excavation, and building at construction sites, Able to dig pads and prepare sub-grades related to structural/flatwork concrete and trenches related to equipment pads and laying conduit for underground utilities. Stock and organize truck with materials to ensure adequate supply for daily work assignments Complete daily equipment safety inspections and maintenance checks Accurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment according to established company standards and procedures Extensive foundations prep and install, fencing ,and landscaping Setting cabinets, and other comparable equipment Candidates must be willing to operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment on a daily basis in all outdoor weather environments. Candidates must be willing to travel throughout the week, home weekends. All duties must be performed in accordance with OSHA and other worker safety standards with keeping high quality, accountability and budget timelines in mind. Work on and around electrical components including but not limited to conduit installations, cabling, grounding and various connectors.
