Miami, FL Starting Pay:
$22.00 – $25.00/hour (based on experience) Full-time | Benefits Eligible Join Road & Rail Services and put your heavy equipment and railroad maintenance experience to work in Miami. We’re hiring a Track Worker / Equipment Operator to support our maintenance team with hands-on rail repair and upkeep-right here at home. This is a non-traveling position based in Miami, Florida. You’ll work on-site to keep our rail infrastructure safe, operational, and up to industry standards. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining railroad tracks and the surrounding right-of-way. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks on a daily basis. We’re looking for team members who are detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to safety. As a Track Worker / Equipment Operator, your duties will include: Operating heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, tampers, and spikers Replacing ties and rails, cutting rail to proper lengths, and securing materials Clearing vegetation and debris from track areas Lubricating switch components and performing routine inspections Participating in daily job briefings and adhering to strict safety protocols Qualified candidates must have: Prior railroad track maintenance experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment A valid driver’s license A high school diploma or GED The ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a physically demanding environment This is a full-time role with steady hours and no travel expectations.
