Major Responsibilities Run spiker on the rail Run heavy equipment on the rail Remove rail spikes Replace rail spikes Help out with rail work as needed Maintain various hand tools for assigned work Maintain equipment Ensure railroad right-of-way is clear Ensure a safe working environment Class A CDL a plus to haul equipment Working Conditions Up to 12 hour shifts On the road job up to 8 nights at a time Outdoor work in various types of weather and environmental conditions Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and more at times Requirements Relevant work experience in similar working conditions or regulatory and safety environment Experience operating heavy equipment and machinery, specifically a spiker High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Railroad knowledge and experience Must be at least 18 years of age Must meet all medical fitness for DOT Medical Card Must be a team player Welding skills a plus Mechanic skills a plus Valid Class A CDL a plus construction, spiker, railroad,
