Maintenance Repairman 2 (Permanent) Susquehannock Forest District 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Potter County, PA

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will engage in skilled journey-level tasks across various trades related to the maintenance, repair, and construction of forest buildings, facilities, and equipment. All work will adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by the Forest District Manager. Approximately 75 percent of your time will be dedicated to maintaining the district’s buildings and grounds, while also prioritizing other assigned responsibilities, such as forest regeneration, fire suppression, and search and rescue operations. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Thursday with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License.
