Full Job Description Description:
The Cabinet Installer Assistant supports the lead cabinet installer by performing various tasks that aid in the efficient and precise installation of cabinets in residential and commercial settings. This role involves preparing materials, assisting with installations, and ensuring that the job site is organized and safe. The Assistant will work closely with the installer to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Preparation and Setup:
Assist with the delivery, unloading, and staging of cabinets and installation materials at the job site. Prepare tools, equipment, and materials needed for the installation process. Measure and cut materials as needed, following instructions and safety guidelines.
Installation Assistance:
Support the lead installer by handing tools, holding materials, and assisting with the placement and alignment of cabinets. Help with the assembly of cabinet components, such as mounting brackets and hardware. Ensure that all components are correctly fitted and aligned before securing them.
Site Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the removal of debris and packaging materials. Set up and take down protective coverings to safeguard the work environment and existing surfaces. Follow safety protocols and assist with the safe handling and installation of materials.
Customer Interaction:
Interact with clients professionally, answering questions and providing updates on the installation process as directed by the lead installer. Address any minor concerns or issues promptly, escalating them to the lead installer if necessary.
Quality Assurance:
Assist with quality checks to ensure that installed cabinets meet company standards and client specifications.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Skills:
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in cabinet installation. Good measurement and mathematical skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. Capability to work in various physical positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling. Tolerance for working in different environments and conditions.
