Fiberglass and Decorative Concrete Specialist Job Requirements About DreamCrete Custom Creations:
DreamCrete Custom Creations is a custom concrete fabrication shop specializing in Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC). We create unique products like countertops, planters, fire features, stair treads, tables, and benches. Every project is custom, providing opportunities for growth, learning, and problem-solving in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Fiberglass & Composite Work:
Operate, clean, and repair chop guns. Perform roll-out and patch fiberglass work, including cosmetic repairs. Apply gel coats using spray or brush techniques. Create, calculate, and mix materials for fiberglass projects. Design and fabricate molds (fiberglass, silicone, and custom molds). Hand-lay materials to achieve strength and desired contours. Sculpt, vacuum bag, and perform composite repairs using advanced techniques.
Concrete Fabrication:
Build forms, create molds, batch concrete mixes, cast, and finish concrete products. Solve design and fabrication challenges for custom projects. Collaborate with the team to ensure design intent is met through all phases of production.
Maintenance & Equipment Operation:
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose and repair machinery to minimize downtime. Support equipment rebuilding, engineering projects, and production changeovers.
Team Collaboration & Organization:
Coordinate with clients, builders, and architects to deliver high-quality results. Manage project timelines, administrative tasks, and multiple projects efficiently. Communicate effectively with team members to address scheduling conflicts and provide solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Proficiency with chop guns, fiberglass materials, and custom mold-making techniques. Knowledge of wood and concrete fabrication tools and methods. Welding and metal fabrication experience (preferred but not required). Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication skills. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and improve.
Additional Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to travel to project locations as needed. Must pass a drug test and background check. Familiarity with personal protective equipment (list provided).
