This position involves hands-on craftsmanship in building and installing high-quality furniture, cabinetry, countertops, architectural millwork, and wood components using both solid wood, engineered wood, and acrylic solid surface materials . Ideal candidates will have a passion for precision work, experience in woodworking and surface fabrication , and a commitment to delivering beautiful, functional, and lasting results in both residential and commercial projects. Core Skills Proficient with woodworking and shop tools (saws, routers, sanders, etc.) Skilled in furniture and countertop fabrication using wood and acrylic solid surface Able to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specs Comfortable working with hardwoods, plywood, MDF, veneers, laminates, and solid surface Excellent measuring, cutting, assembly, and finishing skills Knowledge of joinery, cabinet construction, and surface bonding techniques Safety-conscious, team-oriented, and self-motivated Duties and Responsibilities 1. Fabrication of Custom Wood & Solid Surface Products Build cabinets, furniture, countertops, frames, and millwork elements Use both solid wood and engineered wood products for a variety of applications Fabricate and finish custom countertops, furniture pieces, and panels using acrylic solid surface materials Perform sanding, seaming, edge finishing, and bonding techniques for seamless solid surface work 2. Workshop Production Stage and prep materials according to plans Operate woodworking and solid surface tools and machines Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and material inventory 3. Assembly & Finishing Complete pre-assembly of furniture and cabinetry Install hardware (hinges, drawer slides, pulls, etc.) Apply stain, paint, laminate, or surface sealers as needed Achieve smooth, consistent finishes on wood and acrylic products 4. On-Site Installation Deliver and install millwork, cabinetry, countertops, and custom furniture Ensure fit, level, and alignment per plan and client expectations Adjust, scribe, and modify as needed to accommodate site conditions Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and site teams 5. Architectural & Framing Work Install trim, molding, and decorative wood elements Assist with framing, partitions, or wood structure builds Retrofit or repair existing woodwork for renovation projects 6.
