PAY RATE:

$25.65/hour

Summary:

Fabricate furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints, aircraft specifications, and engineering drawings.
Assemble, pin, and glue cabinet shells; install drawer slides, hinges, latches, and other hardware.
exterior surface materials such as laminates, veneers, and cap strips.
Operate various stationary and handheld power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture.
Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment to safeguard aircraft interiors.
Utilize the material tracking system to create part demands, track squawks, and sign off completed work.
Collaborate with lead and senior technicians to develop and implement process improvements that enhance safety, reduce cost, shorten cycle time, and reduce labor hours using Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methods.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years in cabinetmaking
Aerospace industry experience preferred
Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking tools, products, and processes
Familiarity with aircraft inspection and process specifications preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be computer literate.
Capable of climbing ladders and stairs, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working any assigned shift.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
