Job Description:

Thomas Built, LLC is seeking a qualified Residential Cabinet Designer to produce design layouts, shop drawings, and cut lists for residential mill work/ cabinets. Potential candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of cabinet construction and installation along with impressive computer and interpersonal skills. Having a strong background with Cabinet Vision computer programs is highly needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to visualize, design, and draw, kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, furniture, and all types of custom cabinetry.
• Able to complete computer drawings and using Cabinet Vision for majority of the day and interact with customers, builders, and shop personnel.
• Problems solve any design or drawing scenarios which require standard or custom methodologies.
• Keep a motivated, positive and professional relationship with clients, and other employees.
• Being a team player is required for this position.
• Must be able to go to locations to measure and configure the designs with complete accuracy.

Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent of at least 2-5 years of experience in architectural design using Cabinet Vision to design the cabinet layout, producing elevations, and cut lists.
• Knowledge of cabinet construction is required.
• Installation knowledge and abilities is highly desired.
