Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and flexible Bilingual Cabinet Builder Floater to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the construction and assembly of various types of cabinets and millwork components. You will work across different workstations as needed, supporting multiple stages of the cabinet-building process to ensure production efficiency and high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cabinet Construction:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements. Measure, cut, and shape materials such as wood, plywood, and laminates using hand and power tools. Assemble cabinets and millwork components according to design specifications.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and rectify defects or discrepancies in the construction process.
Floater Duties:
Move between different workstations as assigned, providing support where needed. Adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities within the cabinet-building process. Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Material Handling:
Organize and manage materials efficiently to minimize waste and optimize production processes. Assist in loading and unloading materials and moving finished products to designated areas.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety procedures.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members, including designers, engineers, and finishers, to achieve project goals. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status and potential challenges.
Continuous Improvement:
Provide input and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements related to cabinet-building techniques and materials.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience in cabinet making or woodworking. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Skilled in using hand and power tools for woodworking. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
