Description:
Shop Labor is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations of the truss shop, including assembling wood trusses, operating equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with loading and unloading materials.
Requirements:
Assist in the assembly of wood trusses according to design specifications and shop drawings. Operate power tools, pneumatic nailers, saws, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Measure and cut lumber and other materials as needed. Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop and yard. Perform quality checks to ensure trusses meet design and safety standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Assist design or technical teams with shop-related input when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing a plus, but not required—willing to train the right candidate. Ability to read and understand tape measures, blueprints, and shop drawings. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended periods.
