Cabinet & Bath Designer Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Cabinet & Bath Designer Johnson & Wilson Companies Charleston, SC J&W Construction & Design, a subsidiary of Johnson & Wilson Real Estate Company is a custom home builder and remodeling company for historic renovation projects and upscale remodels. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional design, craftsmanship, and customer service. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Kitchen and Bath Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design, an eye for aesthetics, and experience using design software such as CAD, REVIT, Pro Kitchen Software to create stunning and functional kitchen and bathroom spaces. This role involves working closely with clients, our project managers, and vendors to bring designs to life while ensuring projects stay within budget and timeline. Compensation:

$30 – $50 hourly

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Consult with clients to understand their needs, style preferences, and budget for kitchen and bath projects. Develop detailed design plans, including layouts, elevations, and material selections. Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD,Revit, SketchUp) to create 3D renderings and visual presentations. Source and recommend cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, flooring, and other materials. Collaborate with contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure design feasibility and accuracy. Prepare project estimates and assist clients in making informed decisions based on quality, price, and functionality. Stay up to date with the latest design trends, materials, and innovations in kitchen and bath design. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail and organization. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients throughout the design and installation process.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in kitchen and bath design or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in design software such as Auto

CAD, 2020

Design, Chief Architect, Revit, Kitchen Design Pro or SketchUp.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of kitchen and bath materials, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and layout principles.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Creativity:

A keen eye for aesthetics, functionality, and current design trends.

Project Management:

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work within budgets.

Sales Skills:

Experience in retail or custom kitchen/bath sales is a plus.
