The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and finishing techniques, with the ability to restore and enhance cabinetry to meet high-quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Duties Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and applying appropriate primers or sealants. Apply stains, paints, or finishes using hand tools and spray equipment to achieve desired aesthetics. Restore cabinets by repairing damaged areas and ensuring all components are plumb and aligned. Collaborate with other team members on cabinet installation projects, ensuring quality workmanship throughout the process. Perform heavy lifting as necessary when moving materials or finished products. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project needs and timelines effectively.
Salary:
$25 to $30 an hour, depending on experience.
Schedule:
Ten-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mandatory overtime on Fridays. Qualifications 2 plus years experience in finishing, manufacturing, distribution, assembly operations. Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety. Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations. Strong knowledge of cabinetry, woodworking, and installation techniques. Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to cabinet installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
