Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Crate Shop Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, proficiency with power tools, and the ability to accurately read a tape measure. This position involves constructing, assembling, and reinforcing wooden crates for shipping and storage purposes. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Construct wooden crates and shipping containers according to specifications. Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings. Operate saws, drills, nail guns, and other carpentry tools safely and efficiently. Inspect and reinforce crates to ensure structural integrity and durability. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow all company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations. Assist with loading and securing crates for transport when necessary.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in carpentry, woodworking, or crate assembly. Proficiency with power tools, including saws, drills, and nail guns. Ability to accurately read and measure using a tape measure. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
