Giant Resource and Recovery (GRR)- Attalla is looking for immediate placement for the positions of Production Operators. Company Description
For more than 30 years, Giant Resource Recovery (GRR) has provided a safe and secure solution to commercial and industrial hazardous waste disposal problems. We recycle a wide range of liquid, solid, semi-solid, and aerosol wastes by blending them into fuel. The waste-derived fuel is then burned in cement and lightweight aggregate kilns operated by Giant Cement. In addition, our multiple facilities offer alternative waste processing and recycling services for materials not suitable for fuel blending.
Production Operator Job Description
The tasks of these individuals will include, but is not limited to:
Unloading trucks containing expired, off spec, and household chemicals.
Forklift operations of stacking and moving drums, pallets, and containers.
Repacking materials into roll-off containers and tankers.
Sorting through aerosol containers for processing.
Performing sampling of incoming materials.
Completion of daily paperwork.
Maintain a clean work area and complying with compliance regulations.
Qualifications:
Good work ethic and perform as a Team Player.
Follow directions.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow all safety rules.
Strong and professional communication skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Must have a good attendance record.
Requirements:
Must be able to read and write.
Must be able to pass medical examination and pre-employment drug screening.
DOT, RCRA, and HAZCOM training is a plus, but not required for employment. Training will be provided annually to all employees.
Forklift experience is a plus but will be trained onsite if needed.
