Job Summary:
The Finishing Operator processes polysilicon used in the global semiconductor industry by working in a clean room environment while exhibiting high commitment to company safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Work inside of clean room wearing clean room garments and PPE Maintain a high degree of quality focus on personal work and awareness to Customer impacts Comfortable working around acids, fumes, sharp objects, and hot equipment Collect readings on instruments and equipment such as level, pressure, temperature, pH, flow, etc. Trouble shoot equipment problems from instruments and observations Perform electrical & mechanical repairs such as valve changes, pump changes, machine cylinder replacements, and low voltage wiring repairs Offloads acids from tankers to bulk wagons Ensuring safe work practices by identifying different energy sources and performing lock outs as needed Maintain records for production, products, and traceability Keep work area clean throughout the day and before leaving shift Data entry and retrieval from MS office (Word and Excel) and the use of computer software including DCS, Aspen Tech, and HMI control screens for equipment Experience with acids, ultra pure water systems, vacuum pumps, NOx controls is a plus Basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentage and average calculations

Bend to Lift up to 50 lbs. from below the waist to approximate 4-ft height while twisting Ability to retrieve product from floor level and reach elevated surfaces during cleaning Push/pull/maneuver approximately 1,500-lb carts Ability to stoop, bend, and squat to access equipment and clean work areas Ability to climb ladders, work up to 40 feet elevation, and inside confined spaces with PPE Completion of Full and half face respirator fit testing
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; further education and Chemical Operator certifications are desired
