POSITION SUMMARY

This position oversees and audits the quality of the work performed and coordinates the flow of production in the areas of the paintline, assembly and packaging areas.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Utilizes Customer Service Schedules and the Open Orders Report in due date order to coordinate workflow scheduling. Exceptions will be communicated by production control or director of operations. Assists assemblers with questions and workload responsibilities. Ensure that assemblers are adequately trained and equipped so that work can be performed in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner. Audits and monitors the quality of the work being performed to ensure all production meets the customer requirements and specifications. Performs inventory cycle counts of supplies stored in the work area and works with purchasing personnel to maintain appropriate levels of purchased components and consumables. Communicates with area leads and the operations manager to recommend changes such as: layout, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of the departments and promote improvement. Keep Operations Manager advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations. Must be able to operate hand tools and pneumatic tooling such as screw drivers, utility knives, screw guns and drills to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies. Must be able to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection of component parts prior to assembly using basic measuring tools. Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.

  • Must be able to cut insulation and use chemicals, adhesives, paints and inks.

Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements. Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures. Attends production, safety and training meetings as required. Work when scheduled and complies with the company attendance policy Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing. Must be willing to work overtime to ensure daily job tasks are completed

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to perform essential duties High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two years quality experience in a manufacturing environment Production scheduling experience a plus Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
