Production Operator 1st Shift – Monday to Friday – 7am to 3:30pm
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Shift Leader and ProductionSupervisor/Manager, the Production Associate is responsible for theset up and operation of equipment whichblends/mixes/packages/transports the liquid or dry chemicals thatcomprise our customer products. The production associate ensuressafety is their 1 priority; they produce the highest qualityproduct at the lowest possible costs while meeting customerspecifications and delivery requirements in accordance withCorporation policies and procedures. Sets up and starts allmachines, checking all controls for adherence to mixing orpackaging procedures. Weighs ingredients to meet recipespecification and inserts into machinery Monitors production andequipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Troubleshootsequipment and processing issues Operates machinery to mix,discharge or handle materials according to operating procedure.
Examines materials visually or physically to ensure conformancewith established standards May take samples of materials to lab forevaluations and instructions Refers issues/problems tolead/supervisor for disposition Performs all required machinecleaning Completes and maintains all required computer inputsResponsible for data integrity Documents work completed as requiredincluding logs, data reports, procedures, etc. Participates intraining, retraining and continual improvement processes andmethods Maintains departmental housekeeping standards Supports thevision, mission and guiding principles of the company Demonstrates& meets qualification on blending, packaging, weighing operations ⋔ lift. Demonstrates team work in all phases of operation.
Follows all rules, laws and procedures related to HS&E, ISO andother regulations Other projects/duties as assigned or needed
Required Skill:
Must be able to read/comprehend written and oralinstructions in English Must be able to read and comprehend safetyrules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manualsand product recipes/materials Must have mathematical skill to add,subtract, multiply and divide and to apply these skills to weights,measures of volume and distance. Must effectively communicate inwriting and verbally in English. Competency in computer and PCsoftware including email, internet, and MS office. Must have manualdexterity for hand tools of various types. Must be able to drivefork lift. Must have problem solving skills and some mechanicalaptitude.
Required Education & Experience:
US High School diploma,GED equivalency or equivalent experience Six (6) months to one (1)year of industrial/manufacturing experience
