Alachua, FL This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours or less per week. RTI Surgical is now Evergen! RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads, comprehends, and adheres to all appropriate standard operating procedures Prepares safe, quality grafts and maintains aseptic technique (practices and procedures under controlled conditions that minimize contamination by pathogens) with a high level of accuracy Verifies the sterility and calibration of supplies and equipment before use Legibly and accurately completes written documentation of all processing and cleaning activities from beginning to end on controlled forms and electronic systems Accurately reads measuring instrumentation (ruler, caliper, graduated cylinders, etc.) used in cleaning and processing activities Takes appropriate safety precautions while working with sharps, cutting equipment, and other hazards Measures, labels, and packages all tissue accurately and according to standard operating procedure Prepares necessary tissue and environmental samples for testing according to standard operating procedures Performs line clearance and quality inspection review of all processed tissue and paperwork Ensures biohazardous and non-biohazardous waste is placed in the appropriate containers and bags and that it’s labeled and documented according to procedure Prepares chemicals in appropriate ratios for processing and cleaning activities Ensure supplies are used in a first in / first out (FIFO) order and only uses necessary supplies Participates in continuous improvement activities and assists with departmental projects such as new product development Other duties as assigned Education High School diploma or equivalent Experience 0-2 years of work experience Certification
