Petroleum Technician Mid Florida Petroleum & Petro Compliance Services Orlando, FL Overview We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The service technician’s role entails diagnosing and repairing electronic and mechanical issues, software and hardware installations, and performing emergency and scheduled repairs and maintenance. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company. Must be willing to travel throughout Central and North Florida. Duties Ensures compliance with all relevant safety standards, protocols, and regulations. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance. Conducts routine inspections of service station facilities to identify maintenance needs. Performs troubleshooting and repairs on fuel dispensers, pumps, underground storage tanks, POS consoles, and other equipment as needed. Executes preventative maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, equipment lubrication, and system calibration. Conducts work in a professional manner and provides stellar customer service. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using logical reasoning and technical knowledge. Conduct inspections of equipment and systems, identifying potential problems before they escalate. Build and assemble components as needed for various projects. Assist in heavy lifting tasks and ensure proper handling of materials during operations. Maintains truck inventory and supplies. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Submits proper and neat paperwork outlining repairs completed and parts used. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems. Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to equipment repairs. Experience with equipment repair, particularly in heavy machinery contexts. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety practices. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to industry regulations. Experience working with logic controllers and distributed control systems is advantageous. Basic computer, Basic google workspace, and Adobe Acrobat (will help with training this if needed) Experience with the following is required. Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Obtain and maintain certifications from original equipment manufacturers. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Heavy work frequently working in difficult work positions and/or with physical demands such as continuously lifting/moving materials greater than 70 pounds. Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment. Job requires frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching and standing. The ability to lift and remove a manhole cover. High school diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
