Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Chemical Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of reactors, mixing tanks, and associated equipment used in the manufacturing process. This role requires strict adherence to procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Weigh and measure specific quantities of various ingredients according to batch sheets. Mix ingredients in correct sequence and proportion. Monitor and maintain process control variables including time, temperature, pressure, color, and weight. Perform blending, filtration, and drying operations. Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and documentation. Package finished products into drums, buckets, cans, or other designated containers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal supervision. Use Vantage software for inventory tracking and process documentation.

Qualifications:

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, safety procedures, and Quality System Documentation. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.

Mathematical Skills:

Proficient in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and in calculating weight, volume, area, and length.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense and follow detailed written or oral instructions. Able to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, handle tools or controls, talk, and hear regularly. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift or move over 100 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision.

Note:

This position requires wearing a full-face respirator. Applicants must be able to comply with the TSE Respiratory Protection Program and OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910.134). Conditions that prevent proper respirator fit (e.g., facial hair, certain dental issues, or headgear) may disqualify candidates.

Work Environment:

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals. Occasional work at heights and exposure to outdoor weather. Noise level is typically moderate.

Preferred Experience:

1-3 years in a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment. Familiarity with Vantage or comparable ERP systems. Previous respirator use or fit-test clearance a plus.
