Material Prep Technician Job Description A Material Prep Technician is responsible for preparing, handling, and organizing raw materials and components for the manufacturing process. They ensure that materials are available in the right quantities and specifications, maintaining a smooth flow of production operations. Responsibilities Prepare raw materials and components for manufacturing. Handle and organize materials to ensure smooth production operations. Maintain accurate labeling and inventory of materials. Assist in sample preparation as required. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Adhere to production schedules and timelines. Essential Skills Experience in material handling and production. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Physical stamina and fitness to perform repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with forklift operation is preferred. Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Capability to perform physical tasks such as kneeling, stooping, and bending. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse with large fans, with efforts underway to install more fans for better ventilation. The role involves occasional outdoor work and working under shop conditions that include noise, dust, fumes, and heat. The position requires physical activities such as kneeling, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 70 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baxley, Ga. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
