Fuji Vegetable Oil, Inc. is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic team player to join our CBE Team as a Processing Technician at our Savannah, GA Plant. Starting pay for this role is $24.00/hr. This is a Swing Shift position, and it is available immediately.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Processing Technician performs tasks associated with the receipt, handling, processing, blending, packaging, and bulk loading of vegetable oil. This role operates and maintains edible oil processing equipment and may be required to work various schedules—including weekends, holidays, and nights—with or without prior notice. Overtime may also be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate computer-driven process equipment, steam boilers, and wastewater treatment systems Sample, measure, inventory, and monitor tank temperatures Receive and store chemicals, ingredients, and miscellaneous supplies Blend and transfer oil using valves; check heat tracing and line clearing Monitor and adjust wastewater system controls, pH levels, and chemical dosing Oversee boiler operations including water feed and fuel conversion systems Contain and clean oil spills when necessary Clean and change industrial filters Prepare equipment for startup, shutdown, freeze plans, and hazardous weather Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform minor repairs on processing equipment Drive a forklift to move production materials Clean and maintain processing areas and equipment Perform other duties or special projects as assigned

Experience:

High school diploma or GED required At least six months of related experience/training preferred Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions Capable of completing routine reports and correspondence Effective communication via radio and verbal instructions

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate percentages, volume, area, and basic algebra Comfortable working with fractions, decimals, and metric conversions

Reasoning Ability:

Strong common sense and problem-solving skills Able to interpret written, oral, or diagram instructions Able to handle multiple variables in standardized situations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must: Use hands frequently to type and handle equipment Stand, walk, climb ladders/catwalks (up to 60 feet high), balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (reasonable accommodations may be made) Distinguish between hot/cold surfaces to verify equipment functionality Use vision to monitor gauges, read indicators, and interpret control screens Hear and communicate effectively via radio/phone and monitor equipment status Occasionally work in confined spaces and must pass a respiratory clearance test

This position operates in a variety of conditions: Regular exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, and elevated platforms Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and risk of electrical shock Loud working environment due to proximity to equipment Occasional exposure to wet/humid environments and confined spaces
