We are the future of electrolyte production, the future of second-generation lithium batteries, and the future of electric motor vehicles Overview We are seeking a highly motivated N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP) Production Associate to join our team. The NMP Production Associate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to NMP production, including operating chemical processing equipment, ensuring quality control, maintaining inventory, and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with long hours. This role requires an engineering background as our team is cross trained on all parts of production and will be required to assist in control room and where needed at any given time. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating and maintaining equipment used in NMP processing, including reactors, distillation units, and other relevant machinery. Ability to operate an NMP production line. Monitoring key process parameters like temperature, pressure, and flow rates to ensure optimal NMP production and quality. Preparing NMP batches according to specific formulations, including weighing and mixing chemicals. Identifying and resolving issues with NMP processing equipment or processes, including documenting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Contributing to the improvement of NMP production processes, including identifying bottlenecks and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Tower operation Preparing reports on process performance, quality control results, and safety incidents. Supervise S-NMP product packaging and management of receiving and shipping procedures. Collection of C-NMP and inventory management. Manage raw materials and inventory of C-NMP in the yard. Assess processes for effectiveness and help to implement improvements. Performing quality control tests on NMP and other related materials to ensure they meet specifications. Maintaining accurate records of process operations, equipment maintenance, and quality control results. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures related to NMP handling and storage. Managing raw materials, chemicals, and NMP to ensure adequate supplies and prevent contamination. Ensuring proper disposal of NMP and other chemical waste in accordance with regulations. Providing training to other technicians on NMP processing procedures and safety protocols. Assists with the maintenance of production equipment. Troubleshoot when the machine is not operative. Assist with operating forklift if needed when short staffed. Stock, clean, and maintain key consumables and equipment. Support development engineers. Make observations on process anomalies and communicate findings. Analyze samples and execute characterization measurements. Skills Required Process engineering experience required with a degree in Science. Major such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical engineering preferred. Knowledge of chemical processing equipment, quality control methods, and relevant safety regulations. 3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing process. Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to NMP handling. Knowledge of computer skills (MS Office, SAP, MES) Ability to operate a production line. Ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures carefully. Great team collaborator and problem solver. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other stakeholders. . Flexibility to work additional hours outside of regular hours including weekends. Korean (spoken and written) along with English preferred.
