Role:
CNC Oilfield Services is a leading oil and gas service company, providing reliable transportation solutions to the industry. We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Assistant Operator to join our Hydrovac Division. The Assistant Operator supports the safe and efficient operation of hydrovac trucks used to excavate soil and debris around underground utilities. This role works closely with the Equipment Operator to perform non-destructive excavation services on job sites for various clients across the oil and gas industry. This is a physically demanding, safety-sensitive position requiring attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability in all weather and work conditions. The ideal candidate is dependable, driven to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the operation of hydrovac trucks, including high-pressure water systems and vacuum components. Load and offload materials using hoses and onboard equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety. Follow instructions from the Hydrovac Operator to perform tasks efficiently and safely. Read and monitor system gauges during loading/unloading to ensure safe operation. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of all CNC equipment during and after shifts. Account for all tools and equipment—employees will be responsible for any missing equipment. Report to job sites 15 minutes before scheduled shift start . Answer calls from the Operator promptly while on shift. Wear required FRC (flame-resistant clothing) and full PPE at all times while on duty. Work with teams across multiple client companies and job sites. Adhere to company and client safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Skills & Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to operate a hydrovac power washer and handle high-pressure equipment. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind). Physically able to lift and maneuver large hoses (up to 50 lbs or more) repeatedly. Capable of reading and understanding pressure and volume gauges. Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude. Flexibility to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays. Willingness to travel or work in remote locations as needed.
