About the position:
The ProcessTechnician is responsible for performing day-to-day chemical/fabricationprocesses in a research lab environment. They will organize and maintainthe parts inventory, fabricate minor assemblies, and provide basicguidance regarding component use to others. They will also contribute tothe completion of and data-gathering related to chemical batchexecution. With high attention to detail, the ideal candidate shouldexhibit strong problem solving and communication skills, as well as ateam player mentality, and strong awareness of safety guidelines.
Responsibilities Execute various batch processes within the benchtopresearch arena Handle specific chemical materials in accordance withproper safety guidelines Accurately execute batch run sheets in a safeand efficient manner in conjunction with research scientists andengineers Interface with electronic and process equipment to perform thevarious operations within the lab and facilities environment Participateand engage in all aspects of the Technician Certification Program Donappropriate process Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including butnot limited to fire resistant clothing, steel toed shoes, nitrilegloves, and respirator Work collaboratively in a team-based operationrequiring cooperative co-worker engagement Requirements High SchoolDiploma with 6 months to 2 years of work experience Computer literateand familiar with Microsoft Office suite. Self-motivated, as well asflexible and versatile, to adapt to changes Ability to multitask withprecision and attention to detail Strong time management skills, withthe ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision Strong verbal andwritten communication skills Able to read, write, and speak English Ableto lift and maneuver objects weighing < 48 pounds Able to remain in astationary position for the majority of a 10 hour workday Fine motorskills to accommodate accurate material compounding and delicate labequipment Preferences Experience in a chemical manufacturing environmentPrevious knowledge of safe practices and OSHA requirements Waste waterprocessing experience Experience with ISO-9001 and GMP guidelines
